I have, after careful consideration, decided for the present

to a suspected criminal case which we reported to the Authorities, the Governor wrote a public letter to the Naval Authorities,

was that the Commodore, strongly scolding me and told
my wife ceased her agitation against the subject in question. I should be superceded and sent home. I can hardly say that I
refused to take any steps to prevent her
from acting in whatever she thought was right. I protested in the strongest way possible against this action by the Governor. Although at the present moment I am principally concerned in the steps to obtain authorization for the unhappy lady-Chairman in Derby long,
I may be in a position at your earliest convenience to state what steps you are prepared to take with
reference to this
